Third Semester

Course  Objective:

The objective of this course is to provide an understanding for the graduate business student on statistical concepts to include statistical description of data, graphical presentation of data, measurements of location and dispersion, skewness and kurtosis, correlation analysis and to inculcate analytical and computational ability among the students.

Course  Outcomes:

                     By completing this course the student will learn to perform the following:

CO-1 Explain basic statistical concepts such as statistical data collection, species characteristics,                      statistical series, tabular and graphical representation of data, measures of central                                tendency, dispersion and asymmetry and correlation analysis.

CO-2 How to calculate and apply measures of location and measures of dispersion -- grouped                      and ungrouped data cases.

CO-3 Independently calculate basic statistical parameters (mean, median, mode, measures of                        dispersion,  correlation coefficient

CO-4 Based on the acquired knowledge to interpret the meaning of the calculated statistical                         indicators. 

CO-5 Compute and interpret the results of bi-variate and correlation analysis.

CO-6 Choose a statistical method for solving practical problems.


Course Outcome:

 CO1 The objective of the course is to expose students to the rigors of Media management

CO2 equip them to be able to manage the media along with different aids of advertising in the international markets.                                                                              

CO3 Demonstrate an understanding of the overall role advertising plays in the business world.

CO4Demonstrate an understanding of advertising strategies and budgets.
CO5Identify and understand the various advertising media.
CO6Demonstrate an understanding of how an advertising agency operates.

CO7To make students learn about merits and demerits of Medias in a better way
