The General English course is designed to help students make rapid progress in English, and focus on the four key language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking. Apart from making students practice on the correct use of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, this course also familiarizes them to notable writers and their literary works.

The course offers a theoretical overview of the concepts and theories associated with several aspects of communication and journalism. The primary aim is to study the linkages between Communication and Journalism. Navigating through communication models and theories it also allows the study of journalism and its role in society. The engagement is on the basis of dialogue and delivery while we explore the topics together through focussed lectures, readings, screenings & group discussions.

Course Summary
The course Modern Language is about learning the history of English language and structure. The course enables students to have an understanding of the myriad nuances that have taken place in the English language: from Old English to Middle English through Modern English. The structure of English language gives the learner the much needed inputs in terms of understanding the language aspects: word formation, its meaning and also the sentence structure. The different Figures of Speech that the students study gives the students immense scope to study and use language in its aesthetics and varied forms.

which encourages students to explore the social, aesthetic, ethical,
scientific, and technical aspects of environmental questions; concentrations
that allow students to approach these questions with more focused knowledge and
