Course Objective: 

-To impart LSRW skills and inculcate values and  critical thinking amongst the learners. 

-Teach soft skills with a focus on socio-cultural etiquette. 

-To make students deconstruct and appreciate the gulf between the the explicit an the implicit.

- To enhance student's writing skills

Course Outcomes: 

The students will be able to:

CO 1. Read and interpret and analyze the implicit and explicit layers of meaning embedded in a poem.

CO 2. Identify poetic devices and the uncommon use of language in poetry.

CO 3. Understanding family roots, changing life styles, ecology and ecosystem

CO 4. Understand the impact of colonization on cultures and languages and  reflect on socio, political and cultural issues. Understand gender stereotypes in the context of drama and discuss gender neutral language.

CO 5. Become innovative and develop the mindset to find hacks to problems with limited sources.

CO 6. Learn and use verbs, tenses, and adverbs correctly and efficiently.

CO7. Develop better writing skills and become adept in organizing one’s thoughts and ideas to write an argumentative passage/essay.

CO 8. Understand the value of soft skills and build health awareness.
