Objective: This certificate course teaches dramatic screenwriting. The class
will let you understand the dramatic formula for creating successful
fiction film in both short and long format. The purpose of the course is to learn about film screenplay
structure, analyze dramatic strategies in film, learn and apply correct
script form, and creatively engage in the various stages of original
scriptwriting.
Outcomes:
1. Learn about the analysis of dramatic structures and visualizing dramatic elements in a screenplay
2. Learn about Logline, Treatment, Source based Research & Script Development
3. Develop an original screenplay of 25-30 pages for a fiction film
