COURSE OBJECTIVE:

To make students learn the Practice of Life Insurance.

COURSE OUTCOME:

This subject aims to provide students with the knowledge of general principles and practices of insurance. It is designed to help students understand the theories, regulatory framework of insurance, types of insurance, and the major types of insurance products. After successful completion of this course, students should be able to use insurance as a tool to manage personal and/or group assets.

COURSE DESCRIPTION :-
It is a 2 credit course newly introduced by the University for the students to focus more on skill enhancement and skills of candidates opting for this subject.

Course Overview 

Analytics has been defined as the extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive models, and fact-based management to drive decisions and actions. It is a process of transforming data into actions through analysis and insights in the context of organizational decision making and problem-solving. Analytics includes a range of activities, including business intelligence, which is comprised of standard and ad hoc reports, queries and alerts; and quantitative methods, including statistical analysis, forecasting/ extrapolation, predictive modeling (such as data mining), optimization, and simulation. This course will introduce learners to the basics of data and analytics, separately, allowing students to identify patterns and develop critical thinking skills with respect to decision-making techniques to solve real business problems. 

Course Objectives 

·        CO1 Learn working with data sets for decision making

·        CO2 Work with Excel’s Power Pivot and organize databases

·        CO3 To learn how to use and apply Excel and Excel add-ins to solve business problems.

·        CO4 Access and manipulate data using the database functions of Excel.

·        CO5 To become familiar with the processes needed to develop, report, and analyze

                 business data.

  3. To give an overview of major Life Insurance and General Insurance Products.

Course Description- It is a newly introduced Skill Enhancement Course by the University for encouraging Commerce Students to gain insights of Web designing and Analytics

CO2- To make students understand about conversion rate and optimization

CO3- To make students understand about Cost per click rate and social media marketing

CO4- To make students understand about SEO and ways of reaching more people locally/Regionally and globally on social Media or on mobile

CO5-To make them learn about Google adwords and video marketing

CO6-To make them understand about the importance of search and display market
