Fourth Semester

Course Objectives:

  1. To understand the services provided by and the design of an operating system.
  2. To understand the structure and organization of the file system.
  3. To understand what a process is and how processes are synchronized and scheduled.
  4. To understand different approaches to memory management.

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE:

  • To make students familiarize with the syntax, semantics, data-types and library functions of numerical computing languages such as MATLAB and/or SCILAB
  • To make students to implement various operations on Scalars, Vectors, Matrices & Polynomials

 

COURSE OUTCOMES:   

By the end of the course, the student will be able to :

CO 1:   Able to do/demonstrate downloading & installing SciLab Software

CO 2:  Ability to understand the menu bar, manipulate command line, record the sessions

CO 3:  Able to perform - initializing vectors in scilab, mathematical operations on vectors, relational operations on  vectors, logical operations on vectors, built-in logical functions

CO 4:  Could perform basic arithmetic operations on Matrices

CO 5:  Able to perform elementary mathematical functions, mathematical functions on scalars, complex numbers, trigonometric functions, inverse trigonometric functions, hyperbolic functions

CO 6:  Could perform basic arithmetic operations on Polynomials
