Optional Certificate Courses offered to students

The Soft Skills Certificate Program is organized with a view to enable students hone the important life skills and get them industry ready. The course aims to complement the General English Course prescribed across the semesters in order to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses, polish their communication and interpersonal skills and also gain confidence. Through an extremely well-designed curriculum, the course caters to the needs of not just bright students, but everyone who is keen to improve oneself.

The objective of this Certificate Course is to provide the students 

  • to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills required for organizing and carrying out entrepreneurial activities, 
  • to develop the ability of analyzing and understanding business situations in which entrepreneurs act 
  • to master the knowledge necessary to plan entrepreneurial activities 
  • to develop the ability to analyze various aspects of entrepreneurship – especially of taking over the risk, and the specificities as well as the pattern of entrepreneurship development and 
  • to contribute to their entrepreneurial and managerial potentials.

On successful completion of this course, student should be able to:

  • analyze the business environment in order to identify business opportunities,
  • identify the elements and skills for success of entrepreneurial ventures,
  • consider the legal and financial conditions for starting a business venture, 
  • explain the importance of marketing and management in small businesses venture, 
  • interpret their own business plan.
