Course Summary
This course focuses on audits of financial statements by independent auditors. The objective of an audit of financial statements is to enable the auditor to express an opinion whether the financial statements are prepared, in all material respects, in accordance with an identified financial reporting framework. The auditor’s report is the medium through which he expresses his opinion or, if circumstances require, disclaims an opinion. The course covers an introduction to audit, the need and importance of auditing, the planning of auditing, the auditing procedures.

Course Description:
The course addresses the English language needs of the students at the undergraduate level. The focus will be upon four categories: Prose, Poetry, Vocabulary, and Grammar. In addition to these the last unit focuses upon developing the writing skills of students by including review writing. The content of the text raises questions of how English is used in India versus how it ought to be used and thus engaging the debates about a “standard English” and the need of adapting English to the local cadence and culture of India. Similarly, the British and American variations of the language are included to orient the students to broaden their view of English as an International language. Overall the course will focus upon the critical thinking faculties of the students concerning academic, linguistic, political, literary and ethical concepts.

Advance Aspects of Income Tax provides in-depth knowledge of basic concepts like: The residential status of the assesses determined, different heads of income under the Income-tax Act, clubbing Income and carry forward losses, deductions, and filing returns, the applicability of TDS, Assessment of Individuals etc. students will learn the procedure in filing tax returns for individuals.

This course introduces students to cost accounting concepts and procedures. An effective cost accounting system provides information that can impact operational and financial performances of an entity. Students will learn how cost accounting information is developed and used for various purposes in different types of business entities. We will examine the role that cost accounting plays in measuring, analyzing and reporting information that relates to the cost of obtaining and using an entity’s resources. Students will learn ways of assigning various costs such as direct costs, indirect costs, fixed costs, variable costs, inventorial cost and period costs.

Course Description:
Computerized Accounting involves using computers and accounting packages for recording, storing and analyzing financial data with Tally ERP.9. It begins with Maintaining Chart of Accounts like Creation and deletion of Company, Ledger and Groups (Single and Multiple). It educates Maintaining Stock Keeping Units or Inventory Masters like Creation of Stock Group, Units of Measure, Stock Item, Godown and recording stock opening balance, generating stock reports in ERP. Recording business transactions in respective Vouchers namely Receipt, Contra, Payment, Purchase, Sales, Journal etc., It educates in Accounts Receivable and Payable Management like Maintaining, Activation of Bill wise Details and changing the financial year in ERP. It also train in generation of MIS (Management Information Systems) Reports
