Basic Computer Skills

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To impart the basic level of understanding of working of a computer and its usage.

COURSE OUTCOME:

Upon learning this course students will be able to understand:

1.     The basics of Computer Applications

2.     About the importance of computer in practical life.

3.     The operating systems and its importance.

4.     Usage of spreadsheet, presentation software.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION: All evaluations are conducted as per the norm of Osmania University. These are two components of evaluations: Internal – 10 Marks, External – 40 Marks
There will be 2 internal examinations during the semester as per the schedule of Osmania University. At the end of each semester, the final external examination will be conducted by Osmania University.
The pattern of Internal Examination Schedule/Date is decided by the University. Each Internal Examination is of 10 Marks. Final Marks of internal examination is the average of two internal exams of 10 marks. Questions are of objective types and conducted and evaluated at the college & by the college.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

To understand:

1) Basics of Contract Act, 1872, 

2) Sale of Goods Act, 1930 and Consumer Protection Act, 1986

3) Intellectual Property Rights

4) Legal Provisions applicable for Management of Companies and Meetings

5) Modes of winding up of a Company with consequences of winding up and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code Act, 2016

CO3: To make students aware about the Sale, Agreement to Sell, Goods, Types of Goods and the essence of       conditions and warranties in contract of sale

CO4:To analyze the vital role on redressal of consumer grievances) through multi-layerof Consumer Forums at various levels (National, State and District ) underConsumer Protection Act

CO5:To acquaint students with the norms and procedure to register for the various Intellectual Property Rights like Trade Marks, Patents, Copy Rights, Trade Secrets and Geographical Indications

CO6: To learn about IPR’s infringements cause serious punishments under various IPR Acts

CO7:To understand the various norms followed in Management of Companies like Appointment/Removal/Duties of  Directors/Board of Directors, conducting valid Meetings and appropriate Resolutionsunder Company Act

CO8:To discern the various modes of winding up of company among students and interpret the consequences of winding up of the company on various stakeholders

CO9: To sense a one stop solution of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code Act, 2016

CO10:To develop a sense of moral judgements among students through assimilation of various above Acts

 

Basic Computer Skills

COURSE OBJECTIVE: To impart the basic level of understanding of working on a computer and its usage.

CO1) the student will be able to exhibit proficiency in a core set of applications, viz., Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

CO2) the students will be able to apply writing skills in preparing and presenting documents.

CO3) the student will be able to discuss key hardware terminology and hardware functionality. 

CO4) the student will be able to demonstrate competency in using PC operating systems and using the Internet as a search tool.

CO5) the students will learn the concept of computer networks and communication system.

RULES OF THE CLASS

Students are supposed to Adhere to the rules mentioned in Class Room Discipline policy.

Students are not allowed inside the class after 10mins (if first hour), 5mins (subsequent hours).

Students are not allowed to sleep in class.

Students are expected to maintain discipline in the class.

Students are not supposed to attend calls during class.

Students are not allowed to use abusive language.
