Basics in Videography is a hands-on certificate course designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of video production and visual storytelling. The course combines creative concepts with practical camera-based learning, enabling participants to understand how effective videos are planned, captured, and developed.
The course covers camera fundamentals, shot sizes, composition, camera angles and movements, lighting, audio, visual storytelling, basic editing, colour, and practical video production techniques. Through demonstrations, exercises, and hands-on assignments, students will progressively develop the confidence to create engaging and purposeful videos.
By the end of the course, participants will have a strong foundation in videography and the practical skills needed to explore filmmaking, content creation, social media, documentary production, and other forms of digital media.
