Semester 3 of BSc M-S-CS 2025-28 Batch

This paper  deals with Statistical methods and theory of estimation where Statistical methods are mathematical formulas, models, and techniques that are used in statistical analysis of raw research data. The application of statistical methods extracts information from research data and provides different ways to assess the robustness of research outputs. Estimation theory is a branch of statistics that deals with estimating the values of parameters based on measured empirical data that has a random component. Students will learn how to use inferential thinking to draw conclusions surrounding data in random samples. Other aspects of this course include how to perform various large sample tests, small sample tests and also will be able to conduct non-parametric tests.

This course provides an introduction to Database Management Systems, focusing on the design, organization, and management of relational databases. Students will develop practical skills in database design, normalization, SQL programming, and gain an understanding of transaction processing, concurrency, and security in database systems.
