The first two semesters of the B.A. Psychology programme lay the foundation by introducing students to the fundamental concepts of psychology and the scientific study of human behaviour. Building on this foundation, the Semester III course, Social Psychology, provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how individuals' thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are influenced by social interactions and the surrounding environment. Throughout this semester, students will study topics such as social cognition, perception, attitudes, prejudice, discrimination, pro-social behaviour, aggression, group dynamics, decision-making, and leadership.
By the end of the course, students will be able to apply psychological principles to understand everyday social interactions, critically analyze interpersonal relationships, and examine contemporary social issues from a psychological perspective.
