This
course intends to impart creativity, language skills, and critical thinking
among the learners. The units are designed in a manner to instil listening,
speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills in students. In addition to
addressing the linguistic needs of the learner, the course also aims to boost
creativity. Apart from inculcating linguistic skills, the course also aims at
improving the soft skills of the learner like decision-making, conflict
resolution, leadership potential, organizational skills, and interpersonal
skills. The lectures included in the section are potent and insightful which
make the learner reflect on the socio-political and cultural issues of
relevance.

Environmental science emerged from the fields of natural history and medicine during the Enlightenment. Today it provides an integrated, quantitative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of environmental systems.
Environmental studies incorporates more of the social sciences for understanding human relationships, perceptions and policies towards the environment. Environmental engineering focuses on design and technology for improving environmental quality in every aspect.
