Modern businesses are required to work within both legal and ethical frameworks to meet their mission and purpose. These frameworks impact decision making, and both constrain and guide the behaviors of all stakeholders. This course introduces you to the foundation principles of Indian business law and application of ethics principles to enable ethical decision-making. The interrelationships between these concepts are important in professional practice and for business success. The application of ethics in the context of legal decision-making when engaging in contract development and negotiation, reduction of legal compliance risk, including negligence risk, and other business interactions in a company law context will highlight to you how businesses can move beyond mere legal compliance. Understanding how the principles of ethical decision-making differ in global contexts will also prepare you to anticipate and prepare for their entry into more complex work environments. 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

1. To give an overview of different Optimization Techniques useful for problem solving and
decision making.
2. To introduce OR techniques such as Linear Programming Problem.
3. To analyze the managerial applications of Assignment problems and Transportation problems.
4. To study capacity planning and sequencing of operations.

The General English course addresses the language needs of the students at the undergraduate level. The focus will be on five categories: Poetry, Prose, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, and Grammar.  In addition to these, the last two segments of each unit are centered on the reading, speaking, and writing skills of the students. Overall, the course will focus on skills acquisition with an added emphasis on the critical thinking faculties of the students concerning academic, political, literary, and ethical concepts. The syllabus has been designed to improve the communication skills of undergraduate students as a part of a comprehensive and holistic development that includes ethical, societal, and cultural concerns.

Course Summary:

This course reflects the role of leaders who display initiative and judgment in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring their workload and the workload of others.
